Establish children’s parliament, Aisha Buhari tells governors

The Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has called on state governors to establish children’s parliament with a view to build the capacity of the youths in leadership position. She made the call on Monday in Abuja at the inauguration of the 4th Assembly of FCT Children Parliament. Buhari, who was represented at the occasion by Mrs Alayingi Sylva, wife of the former governor of Bayelsa, Timipre Sylva, stressed the need to establish children’s parliament in the 36 states. She said that the parliament would provide a platform for the children to participate in national development and prepare them as future leaders. She added that it would give a voice to the youths and inculcate in children the value of dialogue and collective participation that would equip them for leadership roles. BREAKING! Over 200 Feared Dead In Fresh Plane Crash

Reports from Egypt have it that a Russian airliner has crashed in central Sinai with about 271 passengers and seven crew members on board. Confirming this to BBC was the office of Egypt’s prime minister, which stated that the Airbus A-321 had just taken off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, on its way to the Russian city of St Petersburg. As at the time of filing this report, it was not clear yet where the plane crashed, as some suggested that it may have disappeared over Cyprus. Most of the passengers on the plane operated by the Russian airline, Kogalymavia established since 1993, were said to be Russian tourists. According to CNN reports, 224 passengers and crew were on board the crashed Russian plane, as the Egyptian Prime Minister, Sharif Ismail and the ministers are in an emergency meeting over the incident.
